
This course provides an introduction to fundamental psychological concepts with an emphasis on understanding human behavior, mental processes, and applied psychological principles relevant to everyday life, education, and professional contexts. During the Spring term, the course focuses on both theoretical foundations and practical applications of psychology, particularly in areas related to communication, decision-making, mental health, and organizational behavior.
Key topics covered include psychoanalytic perspectives, clinical psychology, and psychopathology, enabling students to understand the origins of psychological disorders, basic diagnostic frameworks, and therapeutic approaches. The course also examines stress, emotional regulation, and health psychology, highlighting how psychological factors influence physical well-being, performance, and resilience.
In addition, the Spring term emphasizes the psychology of communication, business, marketing, and selling behavior, exploring how motivation, emotion, cognition, social influence, and ethical persuasion shape interpersonal and professional interactions. Students gain insight into emotional intelligence, leadership communication styles, group dynamics, and conflict resolution, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively in organizational and social settings.
