This course introduces the pharmacological principles, mechanisms of action, therapeutic applications, and safety considerations of anticancer antibiotics and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Students will examine how anticancer antibiotics exert cytotoxic effects through DNA interaction and inhibition of cellular replication, along with their clinical roles, toxicity profiles, and resistance concerns.

The course also explores NSAIDs, focusing on their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties mediated through cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibition. Key topics include drug classification, therapeutic uses, adverse effects, contraindications, and clinical decision-making.

Emphasis is placed on understanding drug mechanisms, comparing pharmacological profiles, and applying knowledge to clinical and therapeutic contexts.
